Nutrition
A well-balanced diet combined with regular physical activity form a cornerstone of good health. On the other hand, poor nutrition can lead to increased susceptibility to disease, impaired physical and mental development and reduced productivity. What you eat is just as important as what your food combinations are for a meal. There is no one-size-fits-all diet as everyone’s body requirements and functions are different (what works for me might not work for you and vise versa). And what works for you today may not work for you next year. Working together, I will help you find what works best for you with your current goals and I will continue to evolve the nutrition plan as your body evolves.
Yoga
Kundalini Yoga is known as the yoga of awareness. It varies from other traditional forms of yoga and it is quite different from current mainstream yoga. While your focus remains on your breath, Kundalini Yoga differs by involving the recitation of mantras, meditation and chanting. Some are really easy and some are really hard, but they all work. There are thousands of different yoga sets (kriyas), each with their own specific purposes. Kundalini Yoga is designed to work on your subconscious mind by clearing out what is not yours, so that you may experience the authentic “you.” I will give kriyas and meditations (as taught by Yogi Bhajan) to support you in your healing and growth.
Fitness
By now, we have all heard about probably every training technique as well as the tremendous importance of fitness. There are many reasons why we should exercise and stay fit (beyond looking better and holding a more positive self-image), but for me, fitness improves my mood and flexibility. When you feel better and move better, your day is a more rewarding and a much happier experience, which in turns gives you more energy! Not only does exercising increase your quality of life, its is also a wonderful way to reduce stress and increase your immunity. No matter where you are at, I will design a personal training program to fit you and your current skill level.
Hi, my name is Triana Alonso and I am the creator of The Trinity Cat. I have a BSc in Nutrition, I am a certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher (Level 1), and I am an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer. Currently, my LEAP Therapist and Ayurvedic nutrition certifications are in progress.
I have also done (and continue to do) extensive research on Alternative Medicine and I have developed my opinion based on research, practice (I ALWAYS try things out first, whether that be mantras, yoga sets, meditations, new diets, and recipes) and results. Everything I recommend is based on my own experience and judgment, and my approach is holistic in nature (meaning I take all aspects into account including the physical, the emotional and the spiritual).
