Fitness

By now, we have all heard about probably every training technique under the sun as well as the importance of fitness. And for most of us, exercise is usually last on our last, coming only after when our family obligations, work and entertainment quota have been met.

The plain truth is that exercising is absolutely vital to your health, particularly in the elimination of toxins.

Did you know that your greatest ally in detoxification—your lymph glands—literally only work by moving your muscles and joints?

In other words, if you are not moving, your lymph glands struggle to remove waste from your body (this is why mini-trampolines are often part of major illness recovery). Other than this very, very important detoxification reason, there are many reasons why we should exercise and stay fit (beyond looking better and holding a more positive self-image), but for me, fitness improves my mood and flexibility.

When you feel better and move better, your day is a more rewarding and a much happier experience. Physical fitness not only improves your respiratory, circulatory and muscle-skeletal systems, but it also improves your sleep, improves your ability to concentrate and helps boosts your metabolism. I think we all can use better sleep, right?

I can personally attest to the wonderful benefits of fitness because at the Kabbadi World Cup in Ludhiana, India, I suffered a devastating knee injury that would forever change my relationship with my physical body. Being unable to walk and exercise for a very long time, I noticed how much my mood, sleep and self-esteem were negatively affected.

In my recovery, I also learned the importance and necessity of rest, as my obsession to regain my body lead me down an unsustainable path of too much exercise. Balance is the key—not too much and not too little.

A Personal Training program by The Trinity Cat will be designed to fit your body’s needs and requirements (including your need for rest, sleep, proper nutrition and yoga). Pushing is not done here at The Trinity Cat; we like to nudge!
